Kanoya Rose Garden

One of the largest rose gardens in Japan

Kanoya Rose Garden is a wonderful place to enjoy roses from all over the world, with more than 1,500 varieties and approximately 35,000 roses in cultivation. The garden includes a cut-flower greenhouse where roses bloom all year round, a rose chapel, and a garden stage. The park covers an area of 8.0 hectares.

Known as the “Lover’s Mecca,” it has heart-shaped roses and a rose chapel, making it a popular spot for lovers. Every year around Golden Week in May, the park is decorated with magnificent roses in full bloom, taking advantage of Kagoshima’s mild climate.

Visitors can also enjoy the charm of roses to the fullest. Visitors can enjoy delicious food such as rose curry and rose soft serve, or go shopping. Visitors can spend a wonderful time at the Rose Garden, looking at the roses, tasting the roses, and buying souvenirs.
